Reducing electricity bill is matter of great concern today. Most of the appliances in our houses use electricity as the source of energy. Heavy electricity bill creates mental pressure as well as force people to compromise the standard of living. But with some simple tricks we can reduce Electricity Bill without changing life standard. Here is the hacks-
Lights:
1. Use LED Bulbs. Though it is costly to purchase, but good quality LED Bulbs will last long and at the long run it will prove profitable.
2. Use light only when you are in the room. Try to maintain that no light is left lit-up when no one is there.
3.Use two types of LED. One with color and small wattage and other with white color and large amount of wattage. First one will be for general works and second one for reading, writing etc.
Washing Machine:
4. Try to use cold water wash only. According to LG 90% of energy is spent for heating water.
5. For better result you may keep clothes in the detergent solution for 10-60 minutes and then just have a Quick wash from the washing machine menu.
6. Gather cloths for some days and use washing machine with almost full load.
Dishwasher:
7. Again try to use cold water only.
8. Use Dishwasher machine with almost full load.
AC:
9. Buy Inverter AC.
10.Do not use AC at less than 25 degree Celsius. It will reduce AC bill cost almost 25%
11. Clean Filter of the AC regularly.
12. Use ceiling Fan and AC and when the room is cool, just stop AC and continue Fan.
13. Use and set Timer to ON and OFF AC at the specified time.
Room Heater:
14. Properly close all the ventilation of the room.
15. Stop when the room is warm enough. You may turn it on again with Timer function.
TV:
16. Try to use LED TVs.
17. Try to reduce the period of watching time. It is not for cost reduction, but for health reason. At this time you may have Gym, reading, gardening etc.
Charger Appliances:
18. Unplug them when they are fully charged.
19. Mobile should be charged with quick charging device.
Cooking Appliances:
20. Try to use Microwave Oven machine than electric Oven.
21. Induction cookers are also very good choice to reduce cost.
