Simple Homemade Shower Jelly Recipe

Shower jelly is a new trend in soap market. It was invented in 2005 and it is well accepted by the customers. But you can easily make it at home with some simple ingredients. This project is cheap, easy and simple. So, have fun with this DIY recipe.

Ingredients:
1. clear shower gel, body wash, or shampoo                                    ( 1-1½ cups)
2. unsweetened gelatin or, for a vegan version Agar-Agar powder  (2 packs)
3. food coloring (Optional)                                                                (2–3 drops )
4. Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle (Optional)
5. Olive oil/coconut oil/glycerin/jojoba oil (Optional)                       (1 table spoon)

Process:
1.Boil the amount of water you’ll need depends on how much gelatin/agar-agar you’re using: Use the ratio provided on the box.
2. When the water has reached a full, rolling boil, turn off the stove.Pour the gelatin/agar-agar into the water a little at a time, whisking until all the powder has completely dissolved before adding more.Keep going till you’ve added all the powder and mixed it in thoroughly.
4. Add the shower gel/body wash/shampoo and mix gently.Add the food coloring. If you chose to include body oil and/or essential oil(s), add those now too.
5. You’ll probably notice some air bubbles, which make soap dry weirdly and look less pretty. To get rid of them, spray the bubbles lightly with rubbing alcohol, or just scoop ’em out.
5. Stick the bowls/molds in the fridge and leave them alone for at least five hours so they can harden.

Now. you have your shower jelly ready for bath.
